FUNCTION

 Scientific Research Management Office has the function of helping the President of Nong Lam University (NLU) to direct and manage scientific and technological activities in NLU

 MISSION

  The Scientific Research Management Office is responsible for hosting coordinating with related functional departments to organize the implementation of the contents of management of scientific and technological activities in universities in accordance with Article 20 of the Regulation on operation Science and Technology in Higher Education Institutions (Promulgated together with Circular No. 22/2011 / TT-BGDDT dated May 30, 2011 of the Minister of Education and Training)

 Hosting:

1. Promulgating and organizing the implementation of Regulation on management of scientific and technological activities of NLU according to the regulations of Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Science and Technology and concerned ministries and branches about scientific and technological activities.

2. Setting orientations for scientific and technological development of the university for each period

3. Elaborating and organizing the implementation of the five-year and annual scientific and technological plans.

4. Mobilizing various financial sources for scientific and technological activities and using financial sources according to current regulations.

5. Commending, honoring and proposing the commendation and reward of managerial staffs, lecturers, researchers, students, master students and postgraduates who have scientific research and excellent technology transfer results.

 6. Periodically inspecting, examining, summing up and evaluating the results and efficiency of scientific and technological activities of the university; commending and rewarding organizations and individuals that have made outstanding achievements in scientific research, technology transfer; handling of violations according to current regulations.

 7. Making annual and five-year reports and irregular reports on the results of scientific and technological activities of schools with the direct managing agencies and Ministry of Education and Training.

 Managing the organization and implementation of scientific and technological activities of units and organizations attached to the university; organizing the application of results of scientific research and technological development of NLU;

 Work coordination:

 1. Coordinating with functional sections in appraising the establishment of research and development organizations, enterprises and scientific and technological service organizations, settling matters related to personnel, labor, equipment and techniques; safety and labor protection, policies and tasks related to scientific & technological activities according to current regulations;

 2. Coordinating with Personnel Office to plan and develop the contingent of science and technology officials, building scientific research teams, transferring technology to create cohesion;

 3. Coordinating with Planning and Finance Office to assist the President in managing the sources of funds, revenue and expenditure activities and final settlement reports in scientific and technological activities according to current regulations; guiding the heads of scientific and technological programs, projects and tasks at all levels to make expenditure estimates; inspecting the financial activities of scientific and technological activities according to regulations

 4. Coordinating with the Property Management Office to plan and maintain laboratory equipment, creating favorable conditions for faculties, disciplines, research and development institutions, enterprises and scientific and technological service organizations. and faculty, scientific and technological staff in NLU to perform scientific and technological missions

 5. Coordinating with Post-graduate Training Office to deploy the training of science and technology

 6. Coordinating with International Cooperation Office to support and guide the implementation of international cooperation on science and technology

 7. Performing other tasks assigned by Board of Rectors.
