The Asia Pacific Leadership Program is pleased to announce the opening of
its 2013 – 2014 Fellowship Competition. See the attached flyer for more
information regarding this opportunity.
As your professional focus is an area of great interest to our program, we
would appreciate it if you would share the attached Fellowship
Announcement for the 2013 - 2014 intake of the Asia Pacific Leadership
Program (APLP) with your networks and any suitable candidates which may
come to mind. If you know of websites or list serves which may also reach
competitive candidates for this opportunity, we would also appreciate your
forwarding the attached PDF file.
The APLP is a signature program of the East-West Center. It involves 4.5
months of intensive work in Honolulu and a highly flexible 4.5 month
practicum, giving participants a wide range of options for their second
semester experience. Basic application requirements are strong English
language skills and at least a 4-year undergraduate degree or the
international equivalent (though most Fellows have at least a Masters).
The age range of the group is usually from mid-20s to mid-40s, with the
average being 32. Each class has members from between 15-20 countries and
a very wide range of professional and academic backgrounds.
Substantial scholarship funding is available. The deadline for candidates
applying for scholarships is December 1st, 2012. Applications completed
after that date will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all seats are
filled (generally by March 1st, 2013).
For information regarding our program and application instructions, please
visit the APLP's website at: [ www.eastwestcenter.org/apl
]www.eastwestcenter.org/aplp. The APLP's Fall 2013 application documents
can be downloaded directly from our website, in addition to our program
overview, visa requirements, financial and scholarship details.
I would also be delighted to send hardcopy materials announcing this
unique opportunity. If you would like to receive such information, simply
write to aplp@eastwestcenter.org with the appropriate mailing address and
request.
